【MIC Event Report】Visit from Mr. Nishimura, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry

Mr. Nishimura, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, paid a visit to the Institute for Development Studies

On June 17, Mr. Nishimura, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), visited our company to inspect the film-type perovskite solar cells being developed by Sekisui Chemical and our manufacturing facilities. He observed the manufacturing facilities, wall-mounted samples, and the demonstration experiment conducted at the "G7 Hiroshima Summit 2023," and exchanged opinions with Sekisui Chemical President Kato about the future of the company.

At the press conference following the visit, Mr. Nishimura commented, "International R&D is intensifying, and the scale and speed of investment is critical. I hope that Sekisui will lead the world. METI will also provide firm support for social implementation”. He also made strong words of encouragement.
