【MIC Event Report】 『 To create new customer value and new areas of business 』
～ Through practice at Fujifilm Advanced Research Laboratories and Open Innovation Hub ～
‘Lecture Series 2“ on Innovation in FY 2022 was held.
This time, we invited Mr. Takeshi Kojima, current representative of design MeME and former founder of Fujifilm Corporation's Open Innovation Hub, to talk about the necessity of launching "new businesses" along with the growth and development of "existing businesses" and "new business creation" with various examples based on his experience at his previous job. He also spoke about "new business creation" with various case studies based on his previous experience. Mr. Ryuichi Ushio, who has experience setting up the Innovation Center at Murata Manufacturing, also participated in the panel discussion that followed his lecture. The discussion was based on his experience in fostering a culture of innovation and open innovation promotion system. The event was a great success, with over 200 participants attending the hybrid event, which included an online session!

SEKISUI CHEMICAL has established the Minase Innovation Center (MIC) within the Research & Development Institute (location: Mishima-gun, Osaka), a major research and development base constructed in 1961.
