THERMOBREAK® is an thermal-insulating material made from physically(irradiation)crosslinked polyolefin form. It was developed 30 years ago in Australia and is now widely used in various applications such as air ducts and plumbing pipes as a high-performance thermal insulation.
* THERMOBREAK®, which is a low GWP(Global Warming Potential) and allergy product does not use ozone destroying agents such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS) and hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCS), PVC and formaldehyde, and meets the Green Star, RoHS, REACH and various fire-resistant standards
Features
It is produced using the Sekisui's unique electron beam cross-linking and forming technologies, which exhibits excellent insulation properties, low water absorption and low vapour permeability. And it meets various fire-retardant and smoke protection standards set by international institutions and organizations. It does not easily get scratched because of its surface with reinforced aluminum foil film on, and provides fast and simple installation because of its adhesive side laminated with a nonwoven fabric. It can be cut with a cutter and pressed easily.

Purpose
THERMOBREAK® has been used in over 600 buildings all over the world for more than 30 years.and become a commonly used building material as foamed polyolefin insulation. In addition, its quality and reliability have been proven to be so high by the fact that it demonstrate a strong resistance to various types of climate in the world. The Sekisui Chemical Group has a global technical support system , which gives technical support in many countries and regions including Asia, the Pacific Rim, India, the Middle East and North America.
