Battery performance degradation due to high temperatures
It is said that temperature control of the battery is crucial to maintain battery life span, safety, and performance stability in electric vehicles (EVs).
Repeated cycles of charging and discharging generate heat inside the cell and in the connected system, which can cause degradation and fire. Furthermore, trapped heat inside the battery pack or the imbalance in the electricity due to temperature changes from module to module can affect battery performance, therefore, it is necessary to release the heat inside the battery and maintain a suitable temperature.
Heat dissipation grease of low siloxane curing in room temperature
The CGW® series of thermal conductive greases is a two-component silicone-based thermal conductive grease. They contain very little low-molecular-weight siloxane and are low-volatile materials.
They are low-specific-gravity materials, contributing to the weight reduction of automobiles.
They have been used in EV batteries in Europe, and are recognized for their high reliability.
